Why We Travel Magazine
I was tasked with designing a publication layout based on the article Why We Travel, my goal was to make it visually engaging and easy to read. I wanted the design to feel personal, so I drew inspiration from my own experiences - growing up, my family traveled mainly to experience nature, and I wanted to reflect that in the layout. I used a strong hierarchy and guide to help, and I pulled quotes to break up the content to keep it interesting. In the end, the design shows readability and the ability to combine editorial design and storytelling.
This magazine was fully designed and created to visually capture the meaning behind the article, Why We Travel. The concept focused on translating the emotion and purpose of travel into a cohesive layout, using imagery, typography, and composition to reflect exploration, curiosity, and storytelling. The goal was to design an editorial piece that not only presents the content clearly, but also enhances the reader’s experience through thoughtful visual design.
